Tips for successful Interview: Face the interview with a confidence

·         Many candidates are strong in their academics, their resume/bio-data is also impressive and preparation is also better but they cannot able to face interview with confidence and some mistakes may happen due to stress, lack of confidence, fear about failure, etc
·         Let’s discuss some powerful tips:
·         Fear :
·         There is no fixed set of questions during the interview and  We are familiar and habit of repetitive pattern of questions in academics
·         Hence we cannot able to judge the type of questions that may be asked during interview.
·         But interviewer wishes to check your knowledge and confidence. 75% selected candidates may got positive result because of their confidence and knowledge matters only 25-50%
·         Therefore do not get stressed before interview and get relaxed because tension will lose your confidence and you will be already out of the match before you will play.
·         You may take deep breaths 2-3 times and get relaxed. Do not worry about success/failure in the interview.
·         Wrong answers:
·         Sometimes we may give incorrect answer to the question asked and we get depressed due to reaction by the interview panel. This may cause the negative mode in the interview and we feel demoralized.
·         If you really do not know the correct answer then accept politely that you don’t know the answer and apologize.
·         Sometimes interviewer may wish to check your confidence and may try to confuse you by his/her facial expression. If your answer is correct then be firm and do not change your answer.

·         Body language:
·         Your personality is gets reflected through your body language. Your facial expression (Confident /stressed/Demotivated), way to walk, your body movements while seating on chair/ during interview,Eye to eye contact, body language during answering the questions immediately shows your preparation and creates positive/negative impression on interview panel.
·         You have to practice for each and every point mentioned above. Unknowingly we may some mistakes like unwanted leg movement, nail bites, aggressiveness, answering questions in a loud voice, missing eye contact  with interviewer and habit of repetition of   some words, seating too close or away from the table, playing with pen, pencil, folder file.etc
·         Effective communication:
·         The success of an interview mainly depends on effective   communication between panel and you. Therefore practice of mock interview will help you.
·         You have to answer fluently in a simple English language; practice of speaking in English will help you to boost your confidence.
·         Answer the questions with confidence and smile on your face. If you don’t understand the question, ask to repeat politely and listen carefully.
·         Folder file (Documentation)
·      Prepare well organized  documents arranged in reverse chronological   order it means from higher qualification to S.S.C  in a sequence like
1.    Updated Resume/Curriculum Vitae/Bio-data with recent photograph
2.    Degree certificate
3.    Degree Mark sheet
4.    Diploma Certificate
5.    Diploma Mark sheet
6.    HSC mark sheet( if applicable)
7.    SSC Mark sheet
8.    Awards/Achievement certificates
9.    Participation certificates for sports/other activities
·   Other supporting elements:
10. Xerox set of above documents
11. Blank A4 papers (may ask handwritten application )
12.  Stapler and adhesive tube
13. Passport size recent Photographs
·   Do not keep loose papers in the file and it should neat and tidy.
·         Patience :
·   One of the important point during interview process is checking patience of candidate to know the ability to handle difficult tasks, people of various attitudes,etc
·   Panel may ask certain questions which may check your patience or ignore your presence and observe your behavior.
·   Do not get annoyed or argue on certain points. Be calm and polite.
·         Winning approach :
·   As discussed in previous article, mock interview practice is must for success in interviews.
·   Do not get depressed for failure in past interviews. Boost your confidence and face the interview with winning approach.
·   Always keep positive thoughts in your mind like “Today is my day and I am winner”
