What is the difference between a Resume, CV and Bio-Data?
1. RESUME-
Resume is a French word meaning "summary".
A resume is ideally a summary of one's education, skills and employment when applying for a new job.
When you are fresher, then Resume is better choice than CV.
2. CURRICULUM VITAE
Curriculum Vitae is a Latin word meaning "course of life".
It is more detailed than a resume, generally 2 to 3 pages, or even longer as per the requirement.
3. Bio Data
  •          It is the short form for Biographical Data and the focus is on personal particulars like date of birth, gender, religion, race, nationality, residence, marital status, and the like.
  •        A chronological listing of education and experience comes after that.

Common mistakes during preparation of Resume:
  •       We always ask copy of resume of our best friend and then edit the resume which was prepared by your friend for his/her employment.
  •       This is the wrong procedure to prepare you resume. It is your own resume and you have to involve 100% during its preparation.
  •       Do not directly copy the others resume. You may use as a  guidelines and do not adopt same format and information(Copy and paste)
  •       We may prepare resume initially, get Xerox copies in a quantity and apply for the various job positions in different employers using same format.
  •       Here is the great mistake done by you because each employer needs different skills, abilities as per their requirements and your common resume may not able to justify your abilities as per job requirements.
  •        Let’s take example, maintenance supervisor needs interest and skills related to maintenance and your resume was focused on CAD/CAM software and related skills, then naturally it will mismatch the job requirements against your application and your resume get rejected.
